Putting them in order from the most expensive to the cheapest the list would look like this:<\/p><ol><li><strong>South<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>West<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>North<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>East<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>Since Germany offers a wide range of prices in different areas let\u2019s try to look to what extent those prices compare from some of the most expensive cities to some of the cheapest.<\/p><p>To do this, we can compare two cities, each representing one side. For example, Darmstadt would perfectly represent the list of the most expensive cities in Germany, while its opposite would be Frankfurt (Oder).<\/p><p>Frankfurt (Oder) is a small town in the east of Germany, near the border with Poland. The cost of living in this place is really reasonable. Labeling a particular city as an expensive place to live in is done mostly because of the rent costs because that\u2019s the largest expense you will have in Germany.<\/p><p>As you can normally expect, downtown area rents are higher, and thinking of handling it all alone is practically impossible with a student budget. For this, we suggest you find someone with whom you can share the apartment and hence the renting cost. Many students, of course, find roommates.<\/p><p>Big cities like Munich, Hamburg, Cologne, and Frankfurt are mainly more expensive than other cities are, like Leipzig or Karlsruhe. Depending on where you\u2019re aiming to find an apartment and what conditions you\u2019re looking to have prices range on a wide scale.<\/p><p>If you\u2019re thinking of a one-bedroom apartment in the center of the city, the monthly rent is less than \u20ac700. On the other hand, the same apartment with one bedroom, in peripheral areas will cost you around \u20ac500 per month.
